Kristopher currently serves as the Director of the Center for Sexuality & Gender Diversity at the University of Kansas, and is a PhD student in Sociology at the University of South Florida. He has also been an investigator with the PathTech Team since 2018. He is a scholar-practitioner and his work focuses on queer and trans students, faculty, and staff in higher education. Intimately connected to his work on campus, he often centers the role of queer and trans resource centers in shaping the experiences and outcomes of QT(BIPOC) folks on campus. Specializing in qualitative and mixed-methods research, Kris’ work bridges higher education and student affairs literature with the sociology of education literature.  As an instructor, he views the classroom as a site for transformation and creates opportunities for students to develop skills beyond mastery of the course material. As an LGBTQIA+ resource professional, he works to improve campus climates for queer and trans students at the intersections of identity.
